Aktivitas Antibakteri Ekstrak Flavonoid Buah Mangrove Sonneratia Alba terhadap Bakteri Vibrio Alginolitycus | Antibacterial activity of flavonoid extract from mangrove fruit of Sonneratia alba against Vibrio alginolitycus bacteria

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak flavonoid buah mangrove S. alba terhadap bakteri V. alginolitycus. Pengujian aktivitas antibakteri dilakukan dengan uji konsentrasi hambat minimum (KHM)
menggunakan metode dilusi cair, uji diameter zona hambat (DZH) menggunakan metode difusi agar. Penggunaan kontrol positif Chloramphenicol dan kontrol negatif aquadest sebagai parameter pembanding. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan dua kali ulangan. Hasil analisis uji lanjut (Duncan) menunjukkan bahwa ketiga perlakuan konsentrasi flavonoid mampu memberikan aktivitas penghambatan yang berbeda nyata terhadap V. alginolitycus yaitu antara konsentrasi 500, 375, dan 250 ppm dengan luas zona hambat sebesar (10,33 mm), (9,23 mm), dan (8,07 mm). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, aktivitas penghambatan ekstrak flavonoid pada konsentrasi 500 ppm tergolong kuat, sehingga mempunyai potensi sebagai antibakteri V. alginolitycus yang merupakan salah satu bakteri penyebab penyakit ice-ice rumput laut Kappaphycus alvarezii.

This study aims to determine the antibacterial activity of S. alba mangrove fruit flavonoid extracts against V. alginolitycus bacteria. Antibacterial activity testing is carried out with a minimum inhibitory concentration test (MIC) using the liquid dilution method, the inhibition zone diameter test (DZH) uses the agar diffusion method. The use of Chloramphenicol positive control and aquadest negative control as comparison parameters. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with two replications. The results of further test analysis (Duncan) showed that the three treatments of flavonoid concentration were able to provide significantly different inhibitory activity against V. alginolitycus i.e. between concentrations of 500, 375, and 250 ppm with inhibitory zone area of (10.33 mm), (9.23 mm), and (8.07 mm). Based on the results of the study, the inhibitory activity of flavonoid extracts at a concentration of 500 ppm is quite strong, so has the potential as an antibacterial to V. alginolitycus which is one of the bacteria that causes seaweed ice-ice desease of Kappaphycus alvarezii.
