Abstract

Organic materials affect the physical, chemical, and biological characteristics of the soil. Furthermore, organic materials are pivotal to the nutrients supply and P availability. This study is devoted to the investigation of the effect of organic fertilizer’s selected types on the growth and yield of peanut. This study was conducted in the agricultural land of libou Village, Dungingi Sub-district, Gorontalo, from august to November2019. Employing a randomized group design consisting of four treatments, it involves P0 (without fertilizer provision), P1 (Poultry manure), P2 (rice straw), and P3 (sawdust), receiving 20 Polybags from five times of replication; The data were analyzed using the ANOVA test as well as the BNT test 5%. The result reveal that the treatments using different composts significantly contribute to the growth and yield of peanut. This is evident from the total of leaves and pods per crop, as well as the weight of pods per crop. Rice straw composts have the best result among other treatments.
