Respon Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Tanaman Selada Merah (Lactuca sativa L.) pada Tingkat Naungan dan Media Tanam yang Berbeda

Abstract


This study aims to know the response to growth and yield of red lettuce and its interaction with different levels of shade and growing media, and to know the level of shade and the growing media for red lettuce. This study was conducted in Bunggalo Village, Telaga Sub-district, Gorontalo Regency, from October 2021 to February 2022 by using a split plot desing pattern. The main plot is shade consisting of 2 levels, including 50% shade and 75% shade and the subplots are type of growing media consisting of 4 levels, including soil (control); soil and husk charcoal for 2:1; soil and goat manure for 1:2; and soil, husk charcoal, and goat manure for 1:1:1. The data obtained are analyzed by using analysis of variance (ANOVA), and if there is a significant effect, it is continued with the LSD test at the 5% level. The findings show that the growth and yield of red lettuce provide a response to level of shade and growing media. Also, there is an interacion between shade and type of growing media in plant leaf area. Additionally, it is found that the level of shade for 75% and growing media of soil + husk charcoal + goat manure for 1:1: provide the best yield of the red lettuce.
