Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Tanaman Jagung (Zea Mays L.) pada Sistem Agroforestri dengan Jarak Tanam Yang Berbeda

Abstract


This research aims to determine the growth and yield of corn (Zea mays L.) in an agroforestry system with different planting spacings. The research was conducted from August to Desember 2022 in Sangkub Village, Sangkub Subdistrict, North Bolaang Mongondow Regency. This research employs a Split Plot Design consisting of two factors and three replications. The frist factor was the agroforestry system with three levels: Jati Super, Jati Putih, and Nyatoh. The second factor was the planting spacing with three levels: P1= 60 cm  20 cm, P2= 70 cm  20 cm, P3= 80 cm  20 cm. Data analysis was performed using ANOVA. The results indicate that the agroforestry system significantly affected various factors, such as plant height at 4, 6, and 8 weeks after planting (WAP), leaf count at 2, 6, and 8 WAP, and the presence of male and female flowers. Additionally, the research found that planting spacing significantly affect corn plant height, leaf count at 2, 4, and 8 WAP, the presence of male and female flowers, cop length without husk, and yield. The most suitable treatment was observed with a planting spacing of 80 cm  20 cm. No interaction was observed in the observations.
