Pengaruh Ekstrak Wortel (Daucus carota L.) Terhadap Pertumbuhan Planlet Pisang Gapi (Musa acuminata L. ) Secara In Vitro
Abstract
"Effects of Carrot Extract (Daucus Carota L.) towards the Growth of Cavendish Banana Planlets (Musa acuminata L.) with In-Vitro method." The Principal Supervisor is Indriati Husain, and the Co-Supervisor is Sutrisno Hadi Purnomo.This study aims to determine the effect and appropriate concentration of carrot extract on the growth of Cavendish Banana plantlets with in vitro method. This research was conducted from March to October 2022 at the Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo using a Complete Randomized Design (CRD). Adding carrot extract to planting media is conducted with five treatment levels: control, 80 mL/L carrot extract media, 120 mL/L carrot extract media, 160 ml/L carrot extract media, and 200 mL/L carrot extract media. Each treatment is repeated four times to obtain 20 units of bottles. The variables observed in this study are the type of contamination, color change in the plantlet, sprout formation time, number of sprouts, height of sprout, time of root formation, and number of roots. The results showed that giving carrot extract to the growing media of Cavendish banana (Musa acuminata L.) give insignificant effect on the number and height of sprouts and the number of roots. Meanwhile, sprout and root formation time show otherwise.
