PENERAPAN ARSITEKTUR TROPIS PADA BANGUNAN CONVENTION HALL DAN HOTEL DI KOTA GORONTALO

Abstract

Tourism development in Indonesia is one of the factors that play an important role in international progress. Supporting lodging and entertainment services are increasingly being developed as accommodation providers for tourists on holiday. Thus, planning and designing the Convention Hall and Hotel in Gorontalo City using a Tropical Architectural Approach has the potential to support the tourism industry. The discussion method to solve problems is designing the Convention Hall and Hotel in Gorontalo City using the Tropical Architecture Approach is carried out using several approaches, such a Direct Observation , Literature Study, and Data Analysis. The final is fundamental to becoming a study resource later and then developing more more deeply and broadly research for future researchers with similar design object. The result provides information on potential development in Gorontalo City, which can meet general needs and increase regional income, especially in the business sector of convention services, intensive travel, and exhibitions. Designing the Convention Hall and Hotel in Gorontalo City with a Tropical Architectural Approach can be a valuable asset for Gorontalo City and encourage economic growth and positive development in the long term. In the planning, we can collaborate with various parties, including local governments and other stakeholders, by considering sustainable principles in project , design, and operations to protect the surrounding environment.
