Abstract

Fatigue is a protective mechanism for the body to protect it from further damage after doing activity or work, so recovery is needed by resting the body. This study aims to determine what risk factors are associated with work fatigue using the Fatigue Assessment Scale (FAS) method in dam construction workers (Case Study of the Bulango Ulu Dam Construction Project at PT. Hutama-Basuki-Lestari, KSO). This study's research type is analytical observational with a cross-sectional design. The population of construction workers in the workshop left a pedestal and a mongo bridge. The sample of this study amounted to 65 people with the Total sampling technique—data analysis using the Chi-Square Test. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between age (0.037), tenure (0.044), work climate (0.001), and workload (0.044) with fatigue. Suggestions for workers to pay more attention to safety and health at work and understand the potential hazards in the work environment, especially those caused by fatigue, so that awareness arises not to overexert for a long time and continuously, which causes fatigue.
