Karakteristik Spasial Ekosistem Mangrove Di Pesisir Kabupaten Gorontalo Utara

Abstract

Mangrove ecosystem is an important coastal ecosystem in maintaining ecological balance and providing economic benefits for local communities. This study aims to assess the spatial characteristics of mangrove ecosystems in North Gorontalo coastal areas. The method used is a literature review where researchers conduct a series of studies involving various kinds of information derived from decisions such as books, journals, documents, and so on. The spatial characteristics of mangrove ecosystems in North Gorontalo coastal areas are influenced by several factors. One important factor is the interaction between freshwater and sea water that occurs in the river. The presence of rivers in this area provides sufficient nutrient supply for mangrove growth. In addition, topography and substrate conditions also affect the spatial distribution of mangroves.
