Evaluasi Kesesuaian Lahan untuk Tanaman Jagung (Zea mays L.) di Kecamatan Taluditi, Kabupaten Pohuwato

Abstract


This study aims to determine the characteristics and quality of corn crop land, determine the class of land suitability and what are the limiting factors for corn plants. This research was conducted from September 2022 to January 2023, in Taluditi District, Pohuwato Regency. This study uses a matching matching method between field data for each land unit with corn crop land suitability criteria. The results of the analysis show that Taluditi District has two classes of actual land suitability for maize crops, namely class S3 (According to Marginal) with limiting factors of rainfall, drainage, alkaline saturation, K-Total, pH, P2O5, slopes, erosion hazards, N-Total, effective depth and C-Organic with a land area of 2167.88 ha, and class N (Not Suitable) with drainage limiting factors and effective depth with a land area of 613.51 ha. From the actual land suitability, improvement efforts were made to produce potential land suitability classes in Taluditi District, namely class S2 (Quite Suitable) with a land area of 1567.57 ha, class S3 (Marginal Appropriate) with a land area of 960.99 ha, and class N (Not Suitable) with a land area of 252.83 ha.
