Peningkatan Literasi Green Pharmacy melalui Pemanfaatan Limbah dan Bahan Rumah Tangga menjadi Kosmetik Alami

Abstract


Limbah rumah tangga seperti ampas kopi, air cucian beras, dan teh hijau seringkali belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal, padahal mengandung senyawa bioaktif yang berpotensi digunakan sebagai bahan kosmetik alami. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan penerimaan masyarakat terhadap pemanfaatan limbah tersebut melalui pendekatan green pharmacy. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilaksanakan pada 11 Desember 2025 di Dusun Cabeyan RT 05, Panggungharjo, Sewon, Bantul dengan melibatkan 19 ibu-ibu dasawisma. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyuluhan melalui ceramah dan leaflet, pemberian produk toner teh hijau serta scrub dari ampas kopi dan endapan air cucian beras, serta evaluasi menggunakan kuesioner skala Likert (10 pertanyaan tertutup dan 2 pertanyaan terbuka). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor penerimaan toner sebesar 3,89 dan scrub sebesar 3,58, keduanya termasuk dalam kategori tinggi (diterima). Secara kualitatif, toner dinilai lebih disukai karena memberikan sensasi segar, nyaman, dan tidak lengket, sedangkan scrub memberikan manfaat dalam menghaluskan kulit meskipun memerlukan perbaikan pada aspek tekstur. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa edukasi berbasis partisipatif efektif dalam meningkatkan penerimaan masyarakat terhadap produk kosmetik alami sekaligus mendorong pemanfaatan limbah rumah tangga secara berkelanjutan. Sebagai tindak lanjut, diperlukan pengembangan pelatihan berbasis praktik langsung, penyempurnaan formulasi produk, serta pendampingan produksi skala rumah tangga untuk meningkatkan nilai guna dan potensi ekonomi produk
