Pendampingan dan Pengawasan Pekerjaan Plafon PVC serta Pengecoran Lantai Teras Masjid At-Ta’awun Kelurahan Wongkaditi Barat, Kota Gorontalo

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out at the At-Ta'awun Mosque, West Wongkaditi Village, Gorontalo City, as an effort to support the construction of a place of worship with social and religious functions. The construction phase that was the focus of the activity included the installation of PVC ceilings and the casting of terrace floor slabs. Community participation in the form of self-help was relatively high, but there were still obstacles in the aspects of technical supervision and quality control of the work. This activity aimed to improve the quality of construction and community capacity through technical assistance and supervision. The methods used included field observation, direct assistance during the work process, and periodic evaluation of the implementation results. The activity was carried out for three months with the involvement of a cross-disciplinary team of lecturers and students. The results of the activity showed an increase in the quality of construction work and the community's understanding of technical standards and work safety. In addition, this activity also strengthened the practice of mutual cooperation-based development that was more directed and controlled. The output of the activity was in the form of technical supervision reports, activity documentation, and scientific publications as a form of higher education's contribution to the community.
