REVITALISASI TUNGKU PEMBAKARAN SAMPAH SEBAGAI UPAYA PENGELOLAAN SAMPAH BERBASIS EKOTEOLOGI DESA PAKISPUTIH

Abstract

Waste management remains a significant environmental issue faced by many rural communities, including in Pakisputih Village, Kedungwuni District, Pekalongan Regency. One effort the village has made is the provision of a waste incinerator, but in practice, the facility has not been functioning optimally due to physical damage and lack of maintenance. This community service program, the Regular Thematic Ecotheology Community Service Program (KKN), aims to revitalize the waste incinerator so that it can be used optimally to reduce household waste volume. The implementation method includes a survey of the initial condition of the incinerator, coordination with village officials and the Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes), physical repairs to the incinerator, and outreach to the community on its use and maintenance. The results of the activity indicate that the waste incinerator can be restored to its proper function and provides tangible benefits in village waste management. Furthermore, this activity also raises public awareness of the importance of environmental protection as a form of moral and religious responsibility from an ecotheological perspective. The waste incinerator revitalization program is expected to be sustainable and independently managed by the village community.
