Journal History

Jambura Geoscience Review (JGEOSREV) is a peer-reviewed journal published by Department of Earth Science and Technology, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo in collaboration with  Ikatan Geograf Indonesia (IGI) or Indonesian Geographical Society. This journal was first published in January 2019 with ISSN (Print) 2623-0682. In the first until now volume, the journal had been published online. The following is the historical milestones of JGEOSREV.
  1. On October 9, 2018, JGEOSREV has obtained an ISSN (Print), 2623-0682.
  2. On February 8, 2019, JGEOSREV has obtained an ISSN (Online), 2656-0380.
  3. In May 2019, JGEOSREV has become a member of Crossref, meaning all the JGEOSREV articles have a Digital Object Identifier (DOI).
  4. On January 2, 2020, JGEOSREV has collaborated with Ikatan Geograf Indonesia (IGI) or Indonesian Geographical Society related to the submission of manuscripts, editorial processes, and the assignment of peer reviewers.
  5. On July 11, 2020, JGEOSREV is proposed for accreditation by the Ministry of Research and Technology / National Research and Innovation Agency (RISTEK-BRIN)
  6. On December 23, 2020, JGEOSREV Has Been Accreditated With “3rd” GRADE (SINTA 3) by the Ministry of Research and Technology/National Research and Innovation Agency (RISTEK-BRIN) (Decree No: 200/M/KPT/2020)
  7. In January 2021, JGEOSREV change the copyright of the Journal delegated to the author. The changes are effective from Vol. 3 No. 1 of 2021.
  8. On June 7, 2021, JGEOSREV has been accepted into the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).
  9. Begin Vol. 4, No. 1 JGEOSREV modifies portions of the prior template to create a new version.
  10. From Vol. 5 No. 1 (2023), editors only accept manuscripts in English.
