PENGARUH CARBOHYDRATE LOADING TANPA FASE DEPLETION TERHADAP PERFORMA POWER ENDURANCE ATLET PENCAK SILAT REMAJA

Abstract


Power endurance merupakan kemampuan otot untuk mempertahankan kekuatan dalam waktu yang panjang, komponen yang sangat kritis dalam pertandingan pencak silat yang bersifat eksplosif dan berulang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perubahan power endurance setelah pemberian metode carbohydrate loading pada atlet pencak silat remaja di Persinas Asad Karawang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment dengan desain pre-test dan post-test pada dua kelompok atlet remaja berusia 14–17 tahun: kelompok intervensi (n=9) yang menjalani carbohydrate loading selama tiga hari dengan proporsi karbohidrat 80% dari total energi, dan kelompok kontrol (n=9) yang menjalani diet biasa. Power endurance diukur menggunakan tes push-up untuk otot tubuh bagian atas dan tes hurdle jump untuk otot tungkai bawah. Data dianalisis menggunakan IBM SPSS Statistics dengan uji Paired Sample T-Test dan Independent T-Test (untuk data berdistribusi normal) atau uji Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test dan Mann-Whitney U Test (untuk data tidak berdistribusi normal), pada tingkat signifikansi p < 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelompok intervensi mengalami peningkatan signifikan pada tes push-up (34,44 menjadi 46,00; p=0,008) dan tes hurdle jump (74,00 menjadi 86,78; p=0,008). Gain score antara kedua kelompok menunjukan perbedaan pada push-up (p=0,037) dan hurdle jump (p=0,042). Disimpulkan bahwa metode carbohydrate loading tanpa fase depletion berkaitan dengan adanya peningkatan power endurance atlet pencak silat.
