KORELASI PERAN VARIABILITAS TEKANAN DARAH SISTOLIK DAN INDEKS MASSA TUBUH TERHADAP KEKUATAN MENGGENGGAM PADA MAHASISWA KEDOKTERAN

Abstract


Penyakit kardiovaskular merupakan penyebab utama mortalitas global, sehingga diperlukan indikator fungsional yang sensitif untuk deteksi dini risiko. Kekuatan menggenggam (handgrip strength/HGS) telah diakui sebagai biomarker kesehatan kardiovaskular, namun peran variabilitas tekanan darah (blood pressure variability/BPV) dan indeks massa tubuh (IMT) terhadap HGS pada dewasa muda masih belum jelas. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada penggunaan regresi kuantil untuk mengungkap efek dan interaksi SBPV–IMT pada berbagai tingkat distribusi HGS yang tidak terdeteksi melalui regresi linear konvensional. Penelitian observasional analitik dengan desain cross-sectional ini melibatkan 132 mahasiswa kedokteran Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Sebanyak 53,8% responden berada pada kategori pre-hipertensi dengan rata-rata SBPV 4,65%, dan 48,5% memiliki status gizi berlebih. Ratarata HGS tercatat 29,04 kg. Analisis bivariat menunjukkan korelasi negatif signifikan antara SBPV dan HGS (r = –0,209; p = 0,016) serta korelasi positif antara IMT dan HGS (r = 0,280; p = 0,001). Regresi kuantil mengungkap interaksi negatif signifikan IMT–SBPV hanya pada kuantil HGS terendah (τ = 0,25; p = 0,050). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa instabilitas hemodinamik melemahkan kekuatan otot pada individu dengan kapasitas otot rendah.
