Pengembangan Media Animasi Kartun Sebagai Alat Pembelajaran Algoritma Pengurutan

Abstract


The use of textbooks which generally contain long narratives makes students uninterested in studying Sorting Algorithms material in informatics learning because of the lack of visuals and interaction, which causes low student understanding. Informatics learning aims to develop an understanding of basic concepts and technical skills in the field of information technology. Therefore, in the learning process there is a need for variations in learning support such as learning media. This research aims to develop cartoon-based learning media on Sorting Algorithm material at SMA Negeri 1 Kabila that is suitable for use in learning so that it can improve students' understanding and memory of the material. The method used is the 4D model R&D method which divides the development stage into 4 steps, namely Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. The learning media developed obtained feasibility results of 99% in terms of material and 85% in terms of media with a very feasible category. The media practicality results obtained 96% in the very practical category. The effectiveness of the media developed is in the very good category. By developing animated cartoon learning media as a learning tool in the classroom, it has had a good impact on student learning outcomes.
