Konflik Batin Tokoh Utama Dalam Novel "Bukan Semillah" Karya Nadine T

Abstract
The novel entitled Not Semillah by Nadine T is interesting to study, because of the inner conflict of the main character that appears in the novel Not Semillah. The inner conflict raised is the dynamics of human life which has very complex problems, especially problems in household life. This study aims to: (1) describe the forms of inner conflict, (2) the causes of the main character's inner conflict contained in Nadine T's novel Not Semillah.This study uses a literary psychology approach with Kurt Lewin's theory. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The data in this study is the inner conflict of the main character which is presented in the form of quotations in the form of stories in the novel. The data source is the novel Not Semillah by Nadine T. The data collection technique is carried out by reading and taking notes. Data analysis techniques were carried out by re-reading the data that had been collected, classifying, analyzing, and concluding the results of the research.The results of the research and discussion include, types of inner conflict, the causes of inner conflict in the novel Not Semillah by Nadine T. The types of inner conflict experienced by the main character include: (1) conflict getting closer, which occurs when the main character is faced with the same two choices - equally liked, (2) distance-away conflict, occurs when the main character is faced with two choices that are equally disliked, and (3) approach-away conflict occurs when the main character is faced with two choices that contain elements he likes and dislikes he liked. There are five forces that cause conflict, namely: (1) driving forces, (2) inhibiting forces, (3) personal needs, (4) influencing forces, and (5) non-human forces.
