PENDAMPINGAN PEMBELAJARAN STEM BERBASIS DIGITAL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KREATIVITAS SISWA SMA
Abstract
The rapid development of digital technology and the demands of 21st-century skills require senior high school learning to focus not only on conceptual mastery but also on the enhancement of creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. However, the implementation of digital-based STEM learning in partner schools remains suboptimal and tends to be conventional. This community service program aims to enhance senior high school students’ creativity through mentoring in digital-based STEM learning, as well as to improve teachers’ competence in implementing such learning sustainably. The program employed a participatory mentoring method using a project-based STEM learning approach. The participants consisted of Grade X and XI students and science and mathematics teachers. The activities were carried out through several stages, including preparation, mentoring implementation, evaluation and reflection, and follow-up. The instruments used included creativity questionnaires, student activity observation sheets, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate an improvement in students’ creativity, active engagement in the learning process, and their ability to generate contextual STEM-based ideas and solutions. In addition, teachers demonstrated increased readiness to design and implement digital-based STEM learning. This program produced a contextual mentoring model and learning tools with strong potential for sustainable implementation in partner schools.
