Geologi Daerah Suka Damai dan sekitarnya, Kecamatan Bilato, Kabupaten Gorontalo
Abstract
The Suka Damai area and its surroundings in Bilato District, Gorontalo Regency, exhibit diverse geological conditions, encompassing landforms, lithology, and geological structures. This study aims to characterize the geological conditions of the research area based on geomorphological, stratigraphic, and structural aspects. The methodology employed includes surface geological mapping—involving field observations of geomorphology and lithology and lineament analysis using DEM-NAS imagery. The results indicate that the research area comprises three geomorphological units: Alluvial Plains, Denudational Hills, and Volcanic Hills. The stratigraphy consists of Sandy Mudstone, Sandstone, and Andesite Porphyry units. Lineament analysis reveals a general northeast–southwest trend, while the observed geological structure consists of rock bedding. The study provides an overview of the area's geological conditions based on its geomorphological, stratigraphic, and structural characteristics.
