PENGARUH LATIHAN SIDE LEG SWING HOLD UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KELENTURAN TENDANGAN DOLLYO CHAGI DAN YAP CHAGI PADA ATLET TAEKWONDO PENDIDIKAN KEPELATIHAN OLAHRAGA UNG
Abstract
This study aimed to determine the effect of the side leg swing hold exercise on improving the flexibility of Dollyo Chagi and Yap Chagi kicks among PKO UNG taekwondo athletes. The research method used was an experimental approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 8 PKO UNG taekwondo athletes selected through a purposive sampling technique. The training program was conducted over 8 sessions with a frequency of three times per week. The research instruments were flexibility tests for Dollyo Chagi and Yap Chagi kicks. Data analysis techniques included the normality test, homogeneity test, and t-test. The results showed that the side leg swing hold exercise had a significant effect on improving kicking flexibility. Therefore, the side leg swing hold exercise is effective for enhancing kicking flexibility in taekwondo athletes.
