PENGEMBANGAN POTENSI EKONOMI DESA MELALUI IMPLEMENTASI TEKNOLOGI INFORMASI DAN KOMPUTER DI KAWASAN TELUK TOMINI KECAMATAN WALEA BESAR KABUPATEN TOJO UNA-UNA

Abstract

Tojo Una-Una Regency was previously part of Poso Regency, which was divided based on Law No. 32 of 2003, dated December 18, 2003.  One of the subdistricts in Tojo Una Una district is Walea Besar District. Walea Besar District has the potential for a marine economy and plantations, a source of income for the community. The marine potential is a tourist attraction and abundant fish, while the potential for plantation agriculture is copra, cloves, durian, nutmeg, and other seasonal crops. The economic activities that the large Walea community has carried out in uncovering the potentials that still exist in traditional patterns and technology have yet to be used. Applying ICT in this service is to create a village website containing related tourism, agricultural, and plantation potential. ICT can be a solution to the problem of accessing various sources of information that are affordable, relevant, and reliable by business actors in increasing economic potential. Training and mentoring programs for applying ICT in Tomini Bay coastal communities, especially in Walea Besar District, Tojo Una- it is hoped that it will be able to boost the local community's economy. The results of this Collaborative KKN activity have created a website for the Walea Besar District and village publications through the social media YouTube.
