Sosialisasi Aplikasi Web Scraping pada Badan Pusat Statistik Provinsi Gorontalo

Abstract


Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) of Gorontalo Province is one of the agencies that is place for implementing the Merdeka Belajara Program – MBLM Internship Kampus Merdeka. BPS of Gorontalo Province plays an important role in providing statistical data, because the data provided by BPS is the basis for formulating appropriate and effective public policies. The data is the main reference for the government in planning development in various sectors. Therefore, it is necessary to have a system that can assist BPS in maintaining the data presented appropriately and effectively. This service is carried out to help optimize data collection at the Badan Pusat Statistik of Gorontalo Province through system development with the web scraping method, so that it can (1) Help present statistical data that is more accurate and reliable, (2) Automate the process of retrieving comparative data from various online news sources simultaneously, and (3) Increase the efficiency of collecting comparative data that was previously done manually
