Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to the Indonesian Journal of Pharmaceutical Education will undergo a double-blind peer review process. The identities of both authors and reviewers will remain confidential to ensure impartial assessment. Any identifying information such as names or affiliations will be removed prior to review.

Each manuscript will be evaluated by two to three expert reviewers who will assess the scientific validity, originality, coherence, and relevance of the work. They will also consider whether the submission contains duplicate content, overlaps with previously published research, or lacks sufficient clarity for publication. Reviewers may also provide feedback on the novelty and impact of the study. The final editorial decision will be based on these reports and, if necessary, further consultation with the editorial board.

Based on the reviewers' feedback, the editors may take one of the following actions:

  1. Accept the manuscript for publication, with or without minor revisions.

  2. Request revisions, inviting the authors to revise and resubmit based on specific concerns.

  3. Reject the manuscript, typically due to a lack of originality, inadequate conceptual contribution, or significant methodological or interpretational flaws.

Authors are expected to revise their manuscripts carefully, addressing all feedback while maintaining the clarity, accuracy, and integrity of the work. This includes reviewing grammar, structure, citation format, and data presentation. The Editor-in-Chief holds the final authority for all editorial decisions.

Manuscripts that contain excessive language or formatting errors will be returned for revision before re-evaluation. All submissions will be checked for plagiarism using Turnitin Software. The maximum similarity index allowed by the Indonesian Journal of Pharmaceutical Education is 25%.
