Author Guidelines

This manuscript is submitted in accordance with the guidelines of the Indonesian Journal of Pharmaceutical Education (IJPE), a peer-reviewed journal that focuses on excellence in research results or literature studies, published three times a year. The journal accepts manuscripts in both Indonesian and English, with a preference for English-language submissions.

The scope of this journal includes research in the following areas:

  • Clinical Pharmacy

  • Community Pharmacy

  • Pharmaceutical Technology

  • Pharmaceutical Chemistry

  • Pharmacognosy

  • Phytochemicals

The manuscript adheres to the journal's formatting guidelines and includes the necessary sections: Title Page, Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgments, Conflict of Interest, and References. The research presented in this paper aligns with the journal’s areas of interest.

Abstrackt

Written in Book Antiqua, 10 pt, single-spaced.
The abstract should include the following elements:

  • Background: Brief description of the research background.

  • Objectives: Clear statement of the research objectives.

  • Methods: A concise summary of the methods used in the research.

  • Results: Main findings, with an emphasis on the most important results.

  • Conclusion: Summary of the findings and their significance.

1. Introduction

This section provides the background, problem statement, and objectives. Use Book Antiqua 11 pt, single-spaced, justified alignment. Start each paragraph with a 12.7 mm indentation. Ensure to provide citations using the IEEE citation style.


2. Materials and Methods

Describe the materials and methods used in the research. Ensure the methodology is written clearly and concisely.

If your research involves human or animal subjects, include an ethical approval statement, such as:

Ethical Approval:
"This study was approved by the Ethics Committee of [Institution Name] (Approval No. XX/XX)."


3. Results and Discussion

Present the results of the study. Discuss the results by comparing them with existing studies, using appropriate statistical methods, and emphasizing the findings that relate to the study objectives. Ensure to cite any figures or tables in the text. Tables should not have vertical lines, and figures should have at least 300 DPI resolution.


4. Conclusion

Conclude by summarizing the research objectives, findings, and contributions to the field.


5. Acknowledgments

We would like to thank [mention any individuals, institutions, or organizations] for their support and contribution to this research. Special thanks to [advisor/supervisor's name], for their guidance throughout the study. Additionally, we acknowledge [funding source, if applicable] for providing financial support for this research.


6. Conflict of Interest

References should follow the format below:

Ensure references are up-to-date and from reputable sources, with at least 15 references, preferably published after 2020.


General Formatting Tips

  • Page setup: A4 size (210 x 297 mm), with margins set to 3 cm (top, left, right, and bottom).

  • Font: Book Antiqua, with size 11 pt for the body text.

  • Alignment: Justified, with single spacing.

  • First paragraph: Indented by 12.7 mm.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. Submission files should be in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document format.
  2. If available, the URL for references has been provided.
  3. The text should be single-spaced; using Book Antiqua font, size 11 pt; italics should be used instead of underlining (except for URLs); and all illustrations, figures, and tables should be placed within the text at the appropriate points, not at the end.
  4. The text complies with the style and bibliography requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

  5. When submitting a manuscript to a journal section that undergoes peer review, ensure that the blind review process has been followed.
