PENINGKATAN KUALITAS KAWASAN PERMUKIMAN MELALUI IDENTIFIKASI MASALAH DAN ANALISIS POTENSI PADA KAWASAN TELUK TOMINI

Abstract

Muara Bone Village, which is located in the coastal area of Bone District, Bone Bolango Regency, which is located in the Tomini Bay Area, boasts significant natural and human resource potential, yet still faces various fundamental problems, particularly in the environmental and residential infrastructure sectors. Through a community service program, an IMAP (Problem Identification and Potential Analysis) approach was implemented to identify real problems and local potential in the village. This program included observation, mapping, counseling on Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS), strengthening food security, and conducting focus group discussions (FGDs) with the community. Concrete interventions, including the construction of permanent waste bins and the formation of environmental conservation groups, successfully encouraged changes in community behavior regarding waste and environmental management. The IMAP mapping results also provide an important contribution as a reference in future village development planning. This program demonstrates that a participatory approach based on field data can produce real and sustainable impacts on improving the quality of life of village communities.
