Arabica Coffee Cascara Product Innovation in Sumber Urip Village

Abstract

Coffee is a key commodity in the plantation sub-sector, playing a vital role in the development of Indonesia's agricultural sector. However, most people simply sell the coffee directly or as ground coffee powder. Although Sumber Urip Village relies heavily on coffee production, the community typically sells the raw product rather than processing it into higher-value goods. Coffee bean husks a waste product can be utilized to create value; specifically, they can be processed into cascara, a tea-like infusion with a distinctive flavor and aroma.
