Penyuluhan Buku Saku “Stop Kekerasan Seksual” Di SMP Negeri 4 Kota Ternate

Abstract

In Indonesian education, there are three major educational sins that require urgent attention, one of which is sexual violence in educational settings. Sexual violence can be broadly defined as any form of behavior that demeans, insults, harasses, or attacks a person's body parts or sexual functions. Addressing this issue requires special efforts to provide students with a better understanding of the dangers of sexual violence that constantly threaten their surroundings. Therefore, it is important to have reading materials that can serve as reference sources for students to explore further information regarding acts of sexual violence, one of which is through the development of a pocket book. The results of this activity include the design and creation of a pocket book entitled "Protect Together: A Pocket Book for Understanding Sexual Violence Against Children." The pocket book was then socialized to students of SMP Negeri 4 Ternate City. The socialization activity began with a pre-test related to students' understanding of sexual violence. This was followed by a presentation of material related to the pocket book's content, and finally, a post-test. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test, students' knowledge increased to 80% from the initial 25%. This demonstrates that the activities successfully increased students' knowledge about sexual violence. It is hoped that these activities will reduce sexual violence, especially within the school environment.
