Kelimpahan Holothuroidea pada Ekosistem Lamun Berdasarkan Periode Umur Bulan di Desa Olimoo'o Kecamatan Batudaa Pantai Kabupaten Gorontalo

Abstract


The purpose of this study was to determine the abundance of Holothuroidea species in seagrass ecosystems in the waters of Tomini Bay, Olimoo'o Village, Batudaa Pantai District, Gorontalo Regency based on the age period of the month. Holothuroidea data collection was carried out from 7 June to 28 June 2019 using a quadrant measuring 25 x 4 meters at 2 stations, namely Station I (Dusun Tamendao) and Station II (Dusun Bilato). The environmental parameters measured included temperature, salinity, pH, current velocity, tides, and observations of substrate conditions. The results showed that there were 6 types of Holothuroidea found during the study, namely Actinophyga mauritian, Actinophyga miliaris, Holothuria atra, Holothuria coluber, Holothuria scabra, and Bohadschia similis. Analysis between stations showed abundance at Station I was higher than Station II. Further analysis of the correlation between abundance and moon age did not show statistically significant results, in other words the abundance of Holothuroidea was not affected by the moon age period.
