Abstract


The purpose of this study was to determine how much influence the introduction of the school field (PLP) has on the interest in becoming a teacher among students of the 2021 Economics Education Department, Faculty of Economics and Business, Gorontalo State University. This study uses a quantitative approach, the data used is primary data obtained from distributing questionnaires to students of the 2021 Economics Education Department. The sample in this study was 63 respondents. The data collection techniques used in this study were observation, questionnaires, documentation and research data were analyzed using regression, hypothesis testing and determination coefficient testing. The results of the study showed that there was an influence of the introduction of the school field on the interest in becoming a teacher among students of the 2021 intake in the Economics Education Department which was acceptable. The results of this study showed a correlation coefficient value (R) with a Very Strong interpretation of the influence. The coefficient of determination value (Rsquare) shows the percentage of the influence of variable X (Introduction to the School Field) on variable Y (Interest in Becoming a Teacher) which was 84.9%
