Pengaruh Pemanfaatan Beasiswa Program Indonesia Pintar (PIP) Terhadap Motivasi Belajar Siswa Di SMP Negeri 2 Kwandang Kabupaten Gorontalo Utara
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the extent to which the utilization of the Indonesia Smart Program (PIP) scholarship influences students' learning motivation at SMP Negeri 2 Kwandang, North Gorontalo Regency. This research employed a quantitative approach using a descriptive quantitative method. The sample consisted of 60 students who were the PIP scholarship awardees, selected through simple random sampling. Data collection techniques included observation, questionnaires, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted using simple regression analysis. The results of the study show that the utilization of the Indonesia Smart Program (PIP) scholarship has a positive and significant influence on students' learning motivation at SMP Negeri 2 Kwandang, North Gorontalo Regency, with a tcount of 7.247, which is greater than the ttable of 2.001, and a significance value of 0.000, which is lower than the 0.05 (5%) significance level. The coefficient of determination from the regression model is 0.475, indicating that 47.5% of the variability in students' learning motivation can be explained by the utilization of the PIP scholarship. In other words, the more optimally students utilize the PIP scholarship to support their educational needs, the higher their learning motivation will be in school. In the meantime, the remaining 52.5% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.
