Penerapan Metode Diskusi Terhadap Keterampilan Berbiara Siswa

Abstract


This research aims to determine the effect of the implementation of discussion method on students’ speaking skill in the subject of Integrated Social Sciences of Class VIII at SMP Negeri 2 Kwandang. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach with a correlation method. The data used are primary data obtained from distributing questionnaires to students, with a population of 118 students and a sample of 54 respondents. Data collection techniques were in the forms of observation, questionnaires, documentation, and interviews. The data were then analyzed using the simple linear regression test. The research result show that there is a positive and significant effect of the discussion method on speaking skills in the subject of Integrated Social Sciences of Class VIII at SMP Negeri 2 Kwandang.
