Pengaruh Pengelolaan Perubahan dan Stres Terhadap Kinerja Karyawan Generasi Z di Bandar Lampung (Studi Pada Emersia Hotel & Resort)

Abstract


In the era of globalization and digitalization that is growing rapidly, the hospitality industry faces challenges in managing changes and work stress, especially for Generation Z employees who have unique characteristics in adapting to the work environment. This study analyzes the influence of change management and stress on the performance of Gen Z employees in the hospitality industry, especially at Emersia Hotel & Resort Bandar Lampung. This study uses a qualitative method through in-depth interviews with six Gen Z employees with two years of work experience and have experienced significant changes in the work environment. The results of the study show that good change management, such as clear communication, training and management support, helps employees in dealing with change and has a positive impact on work efficiency and productivity. On the other hand, work stress caused by high workloads, pressure from superiors, and changes in the work environment negatively impact employee productivity and well-being. However, effective coping strategies, such as social support, organizational flexibility, as well as reward systems, can assist employees in managing stress and maintaining their performance. Therefore, this research is expected to be able to provide an understanding for hotel management regarding the importance of change and stress management strategies to improve the performance of Gen Z employees optimally.
