Keputusan Boikot Produk Terafiliasi Israel Terhadap Kegiatan Ekonomi Generasi Z di Purwokerto
Abstract
This study aims to determine the impact of the decision to boycott Israeli-affiliated products on economic activities of Generation Z in Purwokerto. Generation Z considered more technologically literate and critical than other generations, so the current boycott phenomenon certainly has an impact on their economic activities. This study uses a qualitative method with descriptive phenomenological approach and to confirm validity through data triangulation. The purpose of this study is to examine how Generation Z's decision to boycott can affect their economic activities. The results show that Generation Z seeks information through social media about boycotts and has carried out efforts as a form of solidarity and struggle to support Palestine. The presence of social media also very important bridge in disseminating the boycott campaign. Through boycotts, Generation Z sees that there are many substitute products that affect economic activities and trains more sensitivity to events currently occurring in Palestine.
