About This Form

The Author Declaration Form is a formal statement in which the authors confirm that their manuscript complies with the editorial and ethical policies of JJoA. It covers originality, authorship, competing interests, funding, use of generative AI, research ethics, and copyright and licensing.

The form must be completed and signed by the corresponding author on behalf of all authors, after all co-authors have read and approved its contents. The Editorial Office checks this declaration during the administrative check; submissions without a completed declaration may be returned to the authors before further evaluation.

How to Submit

  1. Download the form: [Download Declaration Form (.docx)]
  2. Complete all sections, tick the relevant boxes, and sign the form.
  3. Save it as PDF with the file name: Declaration_JJoA_[Corresponding Author Surname].pdf
  4. Upload it as a Supplementary File (Step 4 of the online submission), or send it to the Editorial Office by e-mail with the subject line Declaration Form: [Manuscript Title].

Part B. Originality and Publication Ethics

We, the authors, declare that:

☐ The manuscript is our original work, is the result of research in the field of architecture, and falls within the Focus and Scope of JJoA.
☐ The manuscript has not been published previously and is not under consideration by any other journal or publication (no multiple, redundant, or concurrent submission).
☐ All work, words, data, and figures of others have been properly cited or quoted. Verbatim material is clearly identified, and permission has been obtained from the copyright holder for any material exceeding fair use (more than two or three sentences, or any reproduced graphic material).
☐ We understand that JJoA checks all manuscripts using Turnitin, that the maximum similarity allowed is 30%, and that plagiarism is handled according to the JJoA Plagiarism Policy (minor, intermediate, or severe, with the corresponding sanctions).
☐ The data, results, and statements in the manuscript are accurate and contain no fabrication, falsification, or manipulation, including of images or visual evidence.
☐ We are able to provide the raw data underlying the manuscript for editorial review upon request, and will retain the data for a reasonable period after publication.
☐ The manuscript has been prepared according to the JJoA Author Guidelines and official template, including APA referencing with at least 10 references, 80% of which are primary sources published in the last 5 years.

Part I. Post-Publication Responsibility and Article Processing Charge

☐ We will promptly notify the editor if we discover a significant error in our published work and will cooperate in correcting or retracting it, in accordance with the JJoA Correction and Retraction Policy.
☐ We understand that an Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 250,000 applies only to manuscripts accepted for publication, and that any waiver information will be communicated upon acceptance.
