Corrections & Discussion

Correction and Retraction

JJETL preserves the integrity of the scholarly record. Once published, an article is not changed or removed silently. Any change is made through one of the notices below. Each notice is published with its own DOI, linked to the original article, and listed in the table of contents of the current issue. JJETL follows the COPE Retraction Guidelines.

  1. Corrects a significant error introduced by the journal during production.
  2. Corrects a significant error made by the authors that does not affect the article's main findings or conclusions. Authors request it by writing to the editor.
  3. Alerts readers to a serious concern, such as possible misconduct, while an investigation is ongoing or when evidence is inconclusive.
  4. Used when findings are unreliable because of major error or misconduct, or when the article involves plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabricated data, or unethical research. The retracted article stays online, clearly watermarked "RETRACTED", with a retraction notice that explains the reason and who requested it.
  5. Authors may withdraw a manuscript at any stage before acceptance by writing to the editor with the reason. Withdrawal after acceptance is allowed only for serious reasons and must be approved by the Editor in Chief.

Requests for corrections or retractions should be sent to [email protected]

Post-Publication Discussion

JJETL welcomes scholarly discussion of its published articles. Readers may send a comment, critique, or response to a published article to [email protected]. Please quote the article's DOI. Submissions should be scholarly, evidence-based, and free of personal attacks, and should be no longer than 1,500 words. The process is as follows.

  1. The editor reviews each comment for relevance and substance, and may ask a reviewer for advice.
  2. The original authors are invited to respond.
  3. Comments that make a significant contribution may be published, together with the authors' response, as a "Letter to the Editor" or "Commentary" with its own DOI, linked to the original article.

If a comment shows that an article contains a serious error or ethical concern, the journal proceeds according to the Correction and Retraction Policy and the procedure for handling allegations of research misconduct.
